Great news Lowdown filming is going from strength to strength and it seems we’re going to get a date on BBC2 in the New Year so if you haven’t managed to see it on BBC3 your chance will come soon.
For this weeks show we were invited on the set of Jay Z’s new video shoot which took on a whole new dimension when, in walked Naomi Campbell which put a huge smile on my face! She was not the only one to make a cameo, others passing through included: Russell Simmons and his beautiful wife, Pharrell, Mary J, Damon Dash and funniest of them all, Beanie Siegel who appears in the video unbeknownst to the public with an electronic police tag round his ankle, as he’s still on bail for murder.

Lowdown continues to take me to places you’ve never been before. Like R.Kelly’s Chocolate factory studio where the greatest singer / songwriter / producer in contemporary R&B churns out hit after hit.
He revealed to me aside from his current album, R in R&B he has 2 other completed albums slated for release and then he proceeded to play me tracks from 3 different themed albums – 1 African, 1 Brazilian and 1 Jamaican. His plan is to release 7 different albums in 7 different countries on the same day with 7 different themes.
It’s really difficult to forget the court case but I cannot deny that he’s the most genius musician out there in urban music right now.
Then before I came down from my R.Kelly experience I found myself on a plane to Belfast to catch up with my derty, aka Nelly. Currently on tour we spent the day in Belfast, managed to get in a couple of games down the bowling alley and then onto his gig and he definitely rocked Belfast.

In amongst filming for Lowdown I managed to nip up to Edinburgh for my favourite award show the European MTV awards. I went for the 5th consecutive year to do the voice over and dj at one of the after parties. It was one of the best years, great show and great party. Black Eyed Peas and Missy jumped on stage for impromptu performances while JT, Christina, Vin Diesel various footballers from Chelsea and Rangers hung out in the VIP. It wasn’t a Lick party but nearest thing to it, if you missed all the action check out my “EMA diary” on rotation on MTV Base and MTV UK.

Radio1 Took over Brighton for a week and I somehow managed to secure Alicia Keys for our live broadcast. She blew us all away again she never fails to deliver. Her new album sounds amazing this girl is definitely here for the duration, trust me.

On the gig front I took my first visit to Aberdeen and debuted at a venue called Ministry, big shout out to all you guys who made it down you definitely turned it out for me and are you lot stylish or what!? As promised I’ll definitely be back, I’m still looking to play in parts of the Uk that I’ve never visited before.
The New Years Eve news is: 1 gig for sure, possibly 2. Confirmed, the big one at The Dome in Birmingham where I will be headlining check out my gig list to get the full details.

Until the next time
