2003! What a start!...

Hello belated happy New Year to you all. Firstly thank you to everybody who attended radio1 / 1xtra New Years Eve / Hogmanay gig in Dundee it was pretty crazy and very Scottish. I would go on and on about that night but like most of you Christmas was dominated by the terrible news of the Asian tsunami.
I’m sure just like you I’d been racking my brains of thinking of a way to help. The media have been brilliant in raising awareness of the victims need for aid by encouraging people to do what they do so it dawned on me that the best thing for me to do was a gig, but no normal gig, a special gig.

As most of you know the parties I’ve been most known for over the years have been MTV Lick parties and after five sold out years and over 50 incredible events we closed the doors to what was the biggest and most popular R&B event of its kind, ever in the UK and Europe.
So you’ve guessed it for 1 night only with all proceeds going to the relief fund, the Lick party returns to the Hammersmith Palais on Valentines Day, Monday February 14th.

In advance I’d like to thank the venue, the printers, PR, all the artists and DJ’s who are donating their time totally free for the night. All we need now is for you to support this event by buying a ticket. We are doing it on Valentines Day for obvious reasons (so fellas or ladies treat your partner). All the details are below:

Venue: Hammersmith Palais. 242 Shepherds Bush Rd. London
Hosted by: Myself, Trevor Nelson. The Lick cameras and Kat will be there to catch all the action.
DJ’s: Dodge, Hanif, Ronnie Herel, Shortee Blitz, Spoony.
Plus very special guests.
9pm til late
tickets: £20 in advance only (no booking fee) from www.ticketweb.co.uk

Dub Vendor (Ladbroke Grove) 0208 969 3375
